Nautical Studies is concerned with navigation, cargo operations, merchant navy ship upkeep, and the legal and commercial aspects of the maritime industry. Deck officers are in charge of lifesaving and firefighting safety. They assist in steering the ship across oceans and along coastlines. All cargo operations in the port are either carried out by them or are under their direct control.
