Express Entry is not an immigration program by itself, but an electronic management system for immigration programs introduced by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on 1 January 2015. It is a system that intends to make the immigration process quicker and simpler for applicants applying for Permanent Residence under the FSWC, CEC, FSTC and some Provincial Nominee programs.
